An image of a mutilated 50 Shilling note has been doing rounds on social media. The note has two Kenyatta portraits.
It has been given many hilarious captions and now the Central Bank of Kenya have added their voice.
CBK grabbed the opportunity to enlighten Kenyans on their free mutilated note exchange service.
“Did you know that you can exchange your mutilated notes at any CBK Branch/currency center to clean ones for free?” they tweeted.

Perhaps a 50 bob will not take you to CBK, but if you happen to find yourself in a similar situation with a higher denomination, you now know what to do.
