kideroNairobi County Governor Dr. Evans Kidero has claimed voters with dusty and muddy shoes will not be allowed in the upcoming 2017 elections.

The governor was addressing a church congregation in Kariobangi on August 14, where he also alleged that National Youth Service personnel were registered by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to vote for his rivals.

His sentiments come after he claimed that his opponents were busy sourcing voters from neighboring ‘muddy and dusty’ counties to make sure he loses the 2017 gubernatorial race.

“We know where they come from, but I want to warn them that on voting day, we will inspect their shoes. And we will identify those with dusty and muddy shoes. We will do this until late in the evening and when we get them, they will be hounded out,” said Kidero as quoted by Pulse.

    He added,

“In Nairobi, we have tarmacked roads, we don’t have mud and dust. They are bringing people here to vote the way they brought another one to vie for the governorship in Nairobi.”
