IEBC August elections jobs: The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission invites qualified applicants for the following temporary positions for General Election to be held on 9th August 2022.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VARIOUS POSITIONS

1. DEPUTY COUNTY RETURNING OFFICER (DCRO) (47 POSTS)

The Deputy County Returning Officer (DCRO) will deputize and report to the County Returning Officer (CRO).

1. i) Duties and Responsibilities

1. Deputize the County Returning Officer in making all necessary arrangements for the conduct of a free fair and credible General Election;
2. Any other duty assigned by the County Returning

1. ii) Requirements

1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
2. Hold a Degree certificate from a recognized institution;
3. Have at least six (6) years of work experience at the supervisory level in the public or private sector;
4. Must be computer literate;
5. Computation of data skills will be an added advantage;
6. Must be of good character with no political affiliation;
7. Must be willing to work anywhere in the country;
8. Willing to work for long hours with minimal supervision;
9. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
10. Must be a resident of the County applied

iii) Terms and Conditions

1. Deputy County Returning Officers will be engaged for at least Sixty (60)
2. Wages will be 4,000/= for each day worked with no additional benefits or allowances.

2. DEPUTY CONSTITUENCY RETURNING OFFICER (290 POSTS)

The Deputy Constituency Returning Officer will deputize and report to the Constituency Returning Officer.

1. i) Duties and Responsibilities

1. Deputize the Constituency Returning Officer in making all necessary arrangements for the conduct of a free fair and credible General Election;
2. Any other duty assigned by the Constituency Returning

1. ii) Requirements

1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
2. Hold a Degree or Diploma certificate from a recognized institution;
3. Have at least six (6) years of work experience at the supervisory level in the public or private sector;
4. Must be computer literate;
5. Demonstrated skills in people management;
6. Computation of data skills will be an added advantage;
7. Must be of good character with no political affiliation;
8. Must be willing to work anywhere in the country;
9. Willing to work for long hours with minimal supervision; and
10. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
11. Must be residents in the Constituency in which they apply

iii) Terms and Conditions

3. PRESIDING AND DEPUTY PRESIDING OFFICERS

1. Requirements
   1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
   2. Hold a Degree/Diploma certificate from a recognized institution;
   3. Computer literate;

1. Have effective communication;
2. Good report writing skills;
3. Ability to manage people, sensitive data and materials;
4. Have skills in data computation;
5. Must be available for the entire period of the General Election;
6. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
7. Must be residents in the Constituency or Ward in which they apply

1. ii) Wages

1. Presiding Officers will be paid 2000/= per day; and
2. Deputy Presiding Officers will be paid 1,800/= per day.

4 LOGISTICS OFFICERS

1. Requirements
   1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
   2. Hold a Degree/Diploma certificate from a recognized institution;
   3. Computer literate (Competent in Ms Office);
   4. Have effective communication skills;
   5. Have good report writing skills;
   6. Proven organizational skills;
   7. Residents in the Constituency/Ward in which they apply for;
   8. Must be knowledgeable in logistics, distribution and retrieval of materials;
   9. k) Should be conversant with the Geography, infrastructure and terrain of the Constituency/Ward he/she applies to work in;
2. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
3. Must be available for the entire period of the General

1. ii) Wages

Logistics Officers will be paid Kshs. 1,500/= per day.

5. SUPPORT ELECTORAL TRAINERS (SETs)

1. Requirements
   1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
   2. Hold of Social Science Degree or Diploma certificate from a recognized institution;
   3. Computer literate;
   4. Have proven and demonstrated training skills;
   5. Should have participated in adult training programmes;

1. Ability to manage people;
2. Must be available for the entire period of the General Election;
3. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
4. g) Residents in the Constituency/Ward in which they apply

1. ii) Wages

Support Electoral Trainers will be paid Kshs. 2,000/= per day.

6. ICT CLERKS

1. Requirements
   1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
   2. Hold a Diploma qualification in ICT or other IT or related field;
   3. ICT Certification (MCSE, CCNA or Equivalent) will be an added advantage;
   4. At least 2 years of industrial experience in ICT support in a busy environment;
   5. Hands-on experience and skills in Computer Hardware, Network and Software diagnosis;
   6. Have effective communication skills and good report writing skills;
   7. Must be available for the entire period of the General Election;
   8. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
   9. Residents in the Constituency/Ward in which they apply

1. ii) Wages

ICT Clerk will be paid Kshs. 1,500/= per day.

7. POLLING/COUNTING CLERKS

1. Requirements
   1. Be a Kenyan citizen, and non-partisan;
   2. KCSE Aggregate C- and above;
   3. Must be of good character and non-partisan;
   4. Must be available for the entire period of the General Election;
   5. Must be of high integrity and abide by the Commission’s Code of Conduct; and
   6. Residents of the Constituency/County Assembly Ward in which they apply

1. ii) Wages

Polling Clerks/Counting Clerks will be paid Kshs. 1,000/= per day
