pmThe Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) plans to re-introduce a Prime Minister position should they win the 2017 election.

In a Press Statement signed by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, Ford Kenya acknowledges that the current constitutional arrangement has room for only two co-principals, namely the President and the Deputy, and therefore proposes a negotiated position within government for a third co-principal that will also get a share of government’s appointments.

    Here’s the press statement.

Khalwale wisely fails to mention ‘Prime Minister’, owing to the controversial nature of that topic, but it’s clear what he is implying.

Do you support the proposal to re-introduce a 3rd co-principal/Prime Minister?
