Tala Loan Application Form Online in Kenya

The Tala app is one of the few platforms that are changing the way financial services work in Kenya and around the world.

Kenyans can now access unsecured mobile loans thanks to select mobile loan apps with Tala leading the pack. Anyone with a smartphone is one step closer to getting a loan. It is that cool.

With this in mind, it is important to look at three important facts about this app: download, loan repayment, and customer care contacts.

Tala App Download

As a requirement, Tala has to register you as a customer before granting you a loan. The first step to getting there is to download the Tala app from the Play Store and proceed to register as a Tala customer.

To do this, you will need your Safaricom M-PESA number.

After this, Tala will collect your data and use the information acquired to determine your creditworthiness. This means your qualifications and loan limit.

In case you are expecting a loan on day one, you need to take a chill pill since this is not guaranteed. However, do not rush to uninstall the app. Keep checking to confirm whether you have qualified.

How to Repay Tala Loan

At the moment, the loan is repaid only via M-PESA. Use paybill number 851900.

Your registered Tala phone number is the account number.

The repayment period is dependent on the amount borrowed. It can be due in a month, six months, or even a week.

Note: The M-PESA message will confirm that the money has been received by Inventure Mobile Kenya and not Tala.

It is also important to note that you can use another person’s number to pay as long as it is registered by M-PESA. All you have to do is enter your registered Tala phone number as the account number. What this means, in short, is that you can use a different M-PESA number to pay for your Tala loan.

How to Contact Tala Customer Care

In case you are among those who prefer to get the information from the horse’s mouth, you can always contact Tala customer care agents.

The company offers several channels of communication. These include Facebook, email, SMS, and Twitter.

In case you prefer direct calls and physical meetings, Tala does not support that. Tala Kenya describes itself as a “remote lending company’ thus, forget about physical meetings or direct calls.

  • I paid my Tala loan in three instalments today, i.e 2500, 100 and 50. So far the Tala app reflects 150 only. So the 2500 is shown as a balance. Kindly check and rectify.

  • Tala are not gud people.. You can have a problem with the accounts but they won’t listen instead they pressurize you to clear them

  • i wont believe what they have done to me after paying 17760 due on 15 may.. now they have approved 14000 for me..am i going back to the bronze level or what do they what..i need more clarification.

  • My names are Kelvin Wanjala and am a Tala customer with a Tala mobile account. I made payment of Ksh 19,550/= via Mpesa on Paybill no:851900 and received an Mpesa Receipt No. sent to Tala Mobile for account on 10/7/19 at 2:36PM.
    Am still receiving your SMS Prompt from 21991 to make payment by 14/7/2019, yet i have already paid.

    Also on the mobile app the 19,550/= loan is still reflecting and i have not received your Tala sms prompt of receival of my payment yet MPESA have acknowledged the payment.

    Kindly update my account to enable me to also continue taking your financial facility. I look forward to getting your quick response.
