This Long City Shuttle Bus Excited Nairobi Yesterday
Nairobi residents were yesterday delighted by a high capacity City Shuttle bus at Kencom stage.
Many passersby pulled out their mobile phones to take pictures of the new bus, dubbed ‘City Max Transit Shuttle’.
The bus has a length of approximately two 51-seater buses, and a capacity of 100 passengers (60 seated, 40 standing).
“These are the buses Evans Kidero (Nairobi Governor) and Michael Kamau were talking about, they will be transporting people into the CBD,” explained one of the residents.
“Now they have decided to bring ‘Uber’ buses,” another excited resident was quoted by Citizen.
It is unclear what route the bus will be taking.
City Shuttle has always toyed with the idea of high capacity buses. In 2014, they reportedly bought Sonko’s old double decker bus and renovated it into a roadworthy psv.
They also unveiled another ‘semi high capacity’ bus last year.
