Yesterday marked the 38th anniversary of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s death.
The President led the memorial at the Mausoleum in Parliament before heading to Holy Family Minor Basilica for the Mass.
Among those present at the church service were Cord leader and Uhuru’s rival Raila Odinga.
After completing his address, Uhuru invited Raila to address the congregation, referring to him as ‘ndugu Tinga’.
Raila went on to talk of the closeness of the Odingas and the Kenyattas. He even performed the dirge his father Jaramogi did when Jomo died.
