Apple’s 10-year anniversary was marked with the launch of iPhone X, a special edition smartphone that demonstrates the company’s willingness to experiment with features.

The iPhone X promises better camera experiences, latest iOS software, facial recognition, animated emojis (dubbed animoji), a longer battery life, and a daring design.

This device may make us forget Galaxy 8 and 8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 but that we will have to wait and see.

    Notable Improvements

iPhone X, pronounced as iPhone “ten”, comes with notable improvements in camera, design, screen, 3D Touch support, etc.

The iPhone X comes with a large 5.8-inch OLED HDR display called “Super Retina” which is a first from Apple. The 2436 x 1125 resolution and 3D Touch support are also new to Apple smartphones.

The daring design has changed the way users interact with the device. The new entrant comes with an all-screen design and body instead of the aluminum body that has been a mainstay of iPhones since the line’s launch.

The absence of Apple’s traditional home button and fingerprint sensor means that the button is no longer significant iPhone feature.

Unlike earlier when users had to press the home button to navigate, they will be required to swipe up from the button to land on the home screen. To start interactions with a device that is already powered on, users will just tap the screen of lift it.

In addition, users will now unlock the device using a Face ID. All you need to do is to raise your phone, look at it, and swipe to unlock.

To exit an app and get back to the home screen, you will need to swipe.

In addition, the control center will now be accessed by swiping down from the top right corner of the smartphone.

iPhone X also comes with the company’s latest iOS 11 software.

Since their introduction, Emojis have served as major objects of expression. With iPhone X, you can use Face ID to make emoji (dubbed animoji).

This includes new ‘living’ emojis. This means that your exact expressions can be rendered by the animoji. Classy, right?

    iPhone X Price

The handset does not come cheap. The price tag stands at $999.

Those who are really stalking the handset can still save up since pre-orders do not start until October 17th with official availability kicking off on November 3rd.

The price tag is definitely way higher than that of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus which retail at $699 and $799 respectively.

Perhaps the bendable Galaxy Note set to be released by Samsung next year will make iPhone X’s price tag to appear okay. Perhaps.
