Most of us are still hypnotized by Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ but Samsung won’t let that be for long as Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to launch soon.

If you thought the Galaxy Note 7 fire disaster was going to sink Samsung’s ship, you better switch that intercom off down since there is a lot of excitement around the release of Galaxy Note 8.

With just days ahead of launch, several leaks have given note fans an idea of what to expect the newbie to sport in terms of design and specifications.

Reports indicate that Note 8 will be the most potent handset that Samsung has ever built meaning it can only be better than S8 and S8 Plus.

This, thus, means we can expect a slightly different design and several other new features like the rumored 4K display. Either way, expectations are high so Samsung better bring its A-game.

Samsung has already released a teaser video as has been the case with other Note 8 promotional material. The short video features a “Do Bigger Things” slogan and at the very end, we learn that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to be launched on the 23rd August.

    Note 8 Release Date

Samsung has confirmed that Note 8 will be launched on August 23 in New York City. The only thing we cannot confirm is when the handset will hit local shelves.

However, leaks have suggested that Samsung may open pre-orders beginning August 25th.

    What’s new?

The dual camera is new to Galaxy Note 8 and this perhaps the first time that a Samsung flagship will sport this.

Also, there is talk that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could get a 4K resolution making it the first 4K smartphone.

Of course, there are high expectations with regard to design. This means that a larger, pressure-sensitive screen with an acceptable aspect ratio will be appreciated.

The rumored specs also suggest that the handset will come with a larger screen than its predecessor, Note 7, which came with a 5.7-inch screen.

Samsung is also expected to make improvements on the S Pen stylus, perhaps a bigger S-Pen?

    The best part yet?

It is rumored that the handset will feature Bixby AI assistant.

Earlier, we had talked about the awkwardly placed fingerprint reader in S8 but I guess Samsung did not get the memo since leaked images show that the positioning of the sensor will be the same in Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung seems cautious with battery capacity to avoid last year’s disaster. The 3,300mAh battery capacity with fast-charge (wired or wireless) capability suggests that the giant mobile manufacturer is not taking chances.

Finally, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is likely to be Samsung’s most powerful smartphone in 2017 and that therefore means that it will be pricier than the rest. The 1000 price tag thus makes sense.
