Another House Fall in Kariobangi Nairobi, Kenya. A five storay building has collapsed in Kariobangi just barely few months months after a similar insident claimed many lives in Huruma Estate in Nairobi.
The footage was captured by bystanders who risked their lives to record the videos as some wailed in disbelief.
Speaking to the Nairobian, Kariobangi South MCA Robert Mbatia, said the five-storey residential building had been evacuated and was marked for demolition.
The building was completed seven months ago and six tenants had moved in last month.
He said the building developed cracks on Monday forcing the tenants to evacuate immediately.
He said the house was built in a swampy place and that they had raised concerns to the planning department but nothing was done.
