In 2014, monoamniotic twins born holding hands left doctors in awe.

Two years later, the girls Jenna and Jillian Thistlethwaite are closer than ever. The twins were born in with a rare 1 in 10,000 condition, where they shared the same amniotic sac within their mother’s uterus.

They were born 45 seconds apart, but as soon as they were close enough to each other, they clasped hands leaving everyone in the delivery room speechless.

“My heart just melted,” said the mother Ms Thistlethwaite. “Even my husband got tears in his eyes – I don’t know that anybody in the room had a dry eye,” she added.

They are now inseparable. ‘Sometimes if my husband goes to the store, he’ll take one twin and I’ll keep the other,’ Thistlethwaite told People magazine. ‘When that happens, they both get really upset and ask for each other. They’re definitely really close. They’re like two peas in a pod.’
