Huawei GR3 (2017) in Kenya, Here are the Specifications, and Price
Huawei GR3 (2017) is the latest mid-range handset from Huawei to enter the Kenyan market. This comes following the silent unveil into the global market recently.
The handset is an improved version of Huawei GR3 (2015) and it borrows a lot from the Honor series by Huawei.
It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and since the bar has already been raised by other mid-range handsets, it comes as no surprise that Huawei joined the bandwagon with this handset.
The GR3 (2017) adds to the list of a growing budget smartphone list that has tech savvy youths excited.
The demand for quality yet affordable handsets is growing and smartphone companies are fulfilling this demand well.
Samsung has not been left behind.
The giant tech smartphone manufacturer released A3 and A5 mid-range handsets even though the price was a bit high.
Still, they fall into the mid-range category especially considering the brand.

The specs are okay as is the price. It’s hard to tell the handset’s selling point but that does not mean that it is not awesome.
The 5.2-inch screen and 1080×1920 resolution is acceptable for a mid-range handset and since it’s 2017, we expect handsets to come with Nougat out of the box.
The 4G connectivity is also welcome since the need for robust and fast connectivity keeps growing.
In terms of design, Huawei GR3 (2017) can score high since Huawei seems to have put much effort in this area.
The 5.5-inch IPS LED display should give you a good experience whether you are a gamer or enjoy watching videos on a small screen.
Earlier this year, the company unveiled Huawei GR5 (2017) into the Kenyan market.
GR5 is a camera phone, and not just any camera, it is by the renowned German lens maker Leica.
Its specifications are a bit better than those of Huawei GR3 (2017) and prime examples would be the 3,270mAh battery capacity and a 5.5-inch screen.
Everything else was more or less the same.
Huawei is expected to unveil P10 in Kenya soon. P10 is set to be its 2017 flagship targeting the high-end market segment.
P10 was announced during the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) and is ready for pre-order.
Huawei GR3 (2015) is definitely a nice smartphone and a good alternative for those who cannot afford the Huawei GR5 (2017) or Huawei P10.
So, if you have been searching for a mid-range smartphone at a reasonable price, Huawei GR3 (2017) is a great choice.
It may not come with mind-blowing specifications but it is a great budget handset. Go grab yours!
