Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Specifications and Price
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has been launched this January 2017.
The handset was launched alongside Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7 in an event organized to unveil the Galaxy A (2017) series.
These smartphones are expected to be released into the market by end of January.
This is a strong comeback for Samsung given the woes it experienced last year.
It is prudent to bet that the company has taken necessary precautions to ensure last year’s problems do not resurface in 2017 or in the future.
Samsung says that the A 2017 series will have enhanced features compared to that of predecessors.
There are receipts to prove this since Galaxy A5 is definitely a superior model owing to its awesome features.
The most interesting feature has to be the IP68 dust and water resistant technology.
The electronics giant describes this technology as a “safeguard for the unexpected”.
The 16MP rear and front camera, IP68 technology, MicroSD card slot, fingerprint sensor, design, and the 3000mAh battery capacity are some of A5’s interesting features.
Between Galaxy A3 and A5, the latter has superior features and that means it will also retail at a higher price.
A5 has an attractive design.
This does not come as a shock since Samsung has a history of investing in design.
If you are big on design, well most of us are, you will be impressed by A5.
The giant manufacturer has definitely expanded the definition of a mid-range handset with A5.
A5 could have been a bit better with a screen size of 5.5-inches but the 5.2-inch is also okay.
The 1080p resolution is not the best but definitely not a deal breaker.
It would have been also nice to incorporate the latest Android version.
While Samsung has cut corners in some aspects, it has included some impressive features too.

Galaxy A5 is among the first three handsets released by Samsung after the Note 7 fire problems.
This device is evidently not a flagship device but it is a decent mid-range phone with some awesome features.
The 2016 version did not offer enough but things seem to be taking an interesting direction this year.
While A5 is labeled a mid-range device, the price seems a bit high for a device in this category.
For that price, you can get yourself a high-end device from second-tier companies.
Nevertheless, if you are brand sensitive and have a couple of extra thousands, go for it.
Samsung has redefined mid-range handsets with A5.
There are a lot of likable features most of which were not present in its predecessors.
