A Kisumu man has shocked residents after organizing a two-day feast celebrate his three-year-old son’s birthday, to what has been rumored to have cost close to half a million Kenyan Shillings.
Daggy Owila, is seen in photos shared across the web in the company of the birthday boy, Rayan Owila, his wife, all dressed in African attire of Kitenge and two men holding traditional fly whisks.
The party also included traditional dancers with father and son seen in one of the pictures taking to the dance floor.
The three-year-old even had his own security detail at his party that looks to have taken from the state house.
Residents were shocked as they couldn’t fathom what the hell a man spends Ksh 500K Kenyan Shillings on his son’s birthday without feeling a pinch.
According to Lee Mwakinyi, who shared pictures of the birthday party on his Facebook page, the party was an invite-only event which started on Saturday and was expected to end on Sunday.
“Part Two of the biggest birthday party in Kisumu is about to begin. According to Daggy Owila, the father of the birthday boy Rayan, the whole event will cost him the small amount of slightly over 500K. Attendance by cards only. Dress code African attire,” he wrote in a post on Facebook.
Hope it was worth to spend Ksh 500K
The Boys father’s personal Facebook hints of his political ambition. An earlier post indicates that Mr. Owila intends to vie for a Member of County Assembly seat in Migosi, Kisumu County in next year’s General Election on an ODM ticket.

American superstar Trey Songz was in the country last week for Coke Studio Africa.
The ‘Bottoms up’ singer appeared to be at ease in Nairobi, taking matatu rides and venturing out into the busy streets unlike most of his fellow international artists.
On Sunday, Trey Songz went out to the streets of Nairobi and bumped into a lonely street kid. He gave him Sh5000 and posted this photo on Facebook.
“This little dude was alone with his empty cup in busy downtown Nairobi and he just looked at me and smiled as we were walking.
I gave him the equivalent of like 50 dollars.
Then I asked him if I could take a picture with him.
Something about how big and beautiful his spirit was, while holding an empty cup put a lot of things in perspective for me. Overwhelmed with gratitude in these moments. Love my people so much”
He also posted this other photo..
“I’ve been going non stop since I touched down. Today I actually had the chance to get a little rest and actually took a stroll through town! I never post a lot of things at once but I’m about to lol! Also follow My photographer @MelDCole he’s caught some amazing moments while here. I’ve had an unforgettable experience and definitely will be back. Thanks to all the people who showed me love! I’m going to miss you Nairobi!!!”

About 2 months ago, city lawyer Donald Kipkorir took to social media to flaunt his new Range Rover Sport HSE 2016.
Fitted with custom number plates, ‘DBK 007’, the lawyer said he was the first in the county to own that particular model.
“RMA Motors, thanks for making me the first and only owner of this type of Range Rover Sport HSE 2016 model in Kenya: looking forward to collecting it,” he wrote on Twitter.
One Twitter user, ‘ @Makodingo, happened to visit RMA motors over the weekend and was surprised to find the car still in the showroom.
”Just wondering…does RMA provide parking for DBK or it was just chest thumping for nothing cos the car is still there?” he tweeted.
Well, I have to also co-ask because 2 months is a long time not to collect what is yours, yet he made everyone believe it was his. Was this simply a publicity stunt?

Controversial billionaire businessman Harun Mwau has entered the already crowded Nairobi gubernatorial race.
Mwau has expressed interest in battling Kidero and Sonko on a Party of Independent Candidates of Kenya (PICK) ticket.
The former Kilome MP has been out in the political cold since 2013 when he lost the Makueni senatorial race to the late Mutula Kilonzo. He then again lost the by-election to Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday after a party retreat, PICK Secretary General Justus Amito and Youth Congress Chairman Jasiel Njau said Mwau has the blessings of the members to go for the county top seat.
“We are confirming that our party leader John Mwau will run for the Nairobi Governor’s seat. We have spoken to him and he will make the formal announcement next week,” said Amito.
“We have all agreed as youths to mobilize support for Mwau. He is an acclaimed businessman with a vast experience in both public service and politics. We endorse him because we know he has the ability to restore Nairobi back to its former glory,” Njau added.
The Secretary General made it clear that the party will not be aligned to either Cord or Jubilee.
“Our party members are free to decide who they wish to support for Presidency from any of the coalitions. But we shall field aspirants in all other leadership positions across the country,” he said.

See the pic:
Her husband Kovac who they married last year is also present too in another photo where he is bare-chested holding the baby close to his hands.
The elegant photo has been shared across the internet as many criticized the photo shoot while others applaud the move.
