Leading smartphone manufacturers seem to have received the memo and are fast adopting 4G LTE network. With a 4G network, you will have an enjoyable browsing experience.
With Safaricom launching 4G network in Kenya and Airtel, its close competitor, likely to follow suit, it is important to be aware of devices that can support 4G.
Today’s assignment is to talk about the best and affordable 4G enabled smartphones in Kenya, here they are:
1. Samsung Galaxy J2
It runs on v5.1.1 lollipop, is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 4.7-inch screen, 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, and boasts a 2000mAh battery capacity.
2. Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo
Key features are 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP primary camera, Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS upgradable to v4.4.4 (KitKat), and a 4.8-inch screen.
3. Tecno Camon C5
This is a great product by Tecno. The 4G LTE-enabled smartphone is not available on Jumia, Phone & Tablets Kenya or Kilimall.
The phone runs on 1.3GHz Quad-core Cortex-a53 CPU, is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop, has 1GB RAM, 8MP primary camera, and a 2500mAh battery capacity.
4. Tecno W3 LTE
This is perhaps the most affordable 4G LTE smartphones.
The specs are that of a mid-range smartphone but we cannot frown over that. The 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 5MP rear camera, 1GB RAM, 5-Inch screen and 2500mAh battery capacity are perhaps its most outstanding features.
5. Infinix Hot 3 LTE
The features are okay. It runs on 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 and 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, a v5.1 Lollipop OS, 2GB RAM, 5.5-inch screen, 13MP primary camera, and is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
6. Infinix Hot S X521
Infinix devotees can breathe a sigh of relief since Infinix has got them covered.
The handset has an impressive design in addition to possessing impressive features. It runs on v6.0 Marshmallow, powered by 1.5GHz, 13MP primary camera, a 5.5-inch screen and a 3000mAh battery capacity.
7. Tecno Boom J8
This was definitely an upgrade from its predecessors. It has nice features such as 1.3GHz 64-bit Quad-core processor, 13MP primary camera, 2GB RAM, 5.5-inch display, and 3000mAh battery capacity.
8. Huawei P9 LITE
Huawei mobile has not been left behind.
The handset comes with a 5.2-inch screen, 3000mAh battery capacity, Android 6.0+EMUI 4.1, 3GB RAM, and 13MP primary camera.
9. Tecno Phantom 5
This will require you to dig deeper into your pockets.
This device reigned supreme before the launch of Tecno Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus. Its features are okay as it runs on a 1.5GHz Octa-core processor, 13MP primary camera, Android v5.1 Lollipop, 3GB RAM, and a 3000mAh battery capacity.
10. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus
To be honest, I did not think Lenovo could pull this one but I was proved wrong. The handset has impressive features such as 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor, 5.0-inch screen, 2GB RAM, 13MP primary camera, and a 2750mh battery capacity.
In 2017, we expect most smartphone companies to launch 4G LTE enabled gadgets. That translates into a delightful smartphone calendar.
