Tecno Camon C9 Plus Specifications and Price in Kenya
Tecno Camon C9 Plus is the photo-centric smartphone that is readily available on the market.
The handset is a slightly upgraded version of Tecno Camon C8.
2016 was the year that mobile phone manufacturers, including Tecno, decided to create two variants of various handsets.
Apart from the Camon variants, we had Tecno Phantom 6 and Techno Phantom 6 Plus which were released late last year.
Camon C9 Plus is a bigger version of its predecessor so if you love big phones, this one could be your perfect fit.
There are also some notable upgrades in features and, of course, the price tag.

The smartphone sports the same design as its predecessor. Both handsets have an acceptable level of slim and the curved back makes it easy to pick from flat surfaces.
The display has also been designed for a better viewing of images and videos.
The 5.5-inch full HD touchscreen and a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels are good enough.
If you love watching movies or playing games, C9 Plus promises a better viewing experience.
The camera is the handset’s main selling point. The powerful 13MP rear and back cameras promise an amazing experience.
With such megapixels, it should take gorgeous and sharp selfies. The handset can be said to carry the legacy of Camon C8 which received great reviews for its amazing snapper.
On performance, the handset comes equipped with 64-bit 8-core Mediatek MT6735 chipset with a 1.3GHz processor.
The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The memory has been upgraded to 3GB RAM (Camon C9 came with 2GB RAM and lagging performance).
This includes an onboard storage of 32GB (expandable by up to 128GB).
The storage and OS talk of a handset with an acceptable level of performance.
The biometric iris sensor is another important feature that has been included. This enhances the security of your handset and also helps you unlock it safely.
The 3,000mAh battery is not ideal but since Tecno Camon c9 Plus is a mid-range handset, it is acceptable. It will give you several on-screen time.
Tecno did promise up to 200 hours standby but of course, this may not apply to heavy users.
As Tecno continues to spread its focus in Africa, we can only hope that it introduces us to awesome handsets; the kind that comes with life-changing features such as the Edge Sense in HTC U11.
