DStv Subscribers in Kenya have now a reason to smile after the South Africa based company, Multichoice, announced a reduction of Dstv prices or subscription rates effective September.
Now the premium package will be going from as low as Ksh.7,900.
The Premium Bouquet has been slashed by 3.42 percent to Sh7,900 and Compact Plus by 4.15 percent to Sh5,200.
According to Multichoice’s Kenya MD, Eric Odipo, he said the move is due to tough economic times and need to meet the customers’ needs of the best local and international entertainment.
“We want to reward them for their ongoing loyalty and support by providing them with the best local and international entertainment. We will do our bit by adjusting the price of their DStv packages to make them more affordable while adding more value,” said Odipo.
“The majority of our input costs are in US dollars and we hope we won’t experience any further currency devaluations or other unexpected increases in costs for the remainder of the year. We will continue to review pricing from time to time, taking into account the economic conditions of our operations.”

THis is definitely a notable change from the old DStv prices.

“This substantial price drop across our DStv packages reinforces our commitment to ensuring that our customers receive the best possible access to great entertainment and outstanding value,” said Odipo.
DStv is one of the digital content providers in the world that aired live the much-anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Conor McGregor. Recently, DStv added to the Family package the La Liga games, more lifestyle and kiddies programs making the package most sort after option.

In July, this year, Supersport secured rights to televise WrestleMania, WWE, programming live.
Following the announcement, we expect the Gotv bouquet prices to be slashed too.
